I'm seeing what appears to be incorrect information in the IMC relating to the RAID of a VV. Firstly, I'm not sure what the relevance is of displaying the RAID of a VV seeing as it is set at the CPG level but anyway, I have a VV provisioned from a RAID5 CPG using FC disk yet the IMC is showing User Space Allocation coming from RAID6 NL disk. Is this a bug or is there a legitimate reason for this? Couldn't think of a CLI command to check what PD is actually being used by a particular VV.
IMC is v4.5.1.13 and 7400 is v3.1.3 MU1
Apparently Incorrect User Space RAID
Re: Apparently Incorrect User Space RAID
Click on the user CPG and check if the config is correct, it's possible that someone clicked on a drop down incorrectly (I had that situation on one of my AO policies, tier 2 was targeting FC disks instead of NL).
Re: Apparently Incorrect User Space RAID
Thanks, I've checked that and the 2nd screenshot shows the configuration of the CPGs. FC RAID5
Re: Apparently Incorrect User Space RAID
We have same issue but i think its Bug in the IMC (4.51 and 4.6)
I checked all vv with showvvcpg and this Output is right

Re: Apparently Incorrect User Space RAID
can you provide the output of:
showvvcpg BI_SILVER_CSV1
showvv -cpgalloc BI_SILVER_CSV1
showvvcpg BI_SILVER_CSV1
showvv -cpgalloc BI_SILVER_CSV1
Re: Apparently Incorrect User Space RAID
aha, so looks like this is down to AO. Since all of the Admin space and some of the User space has been moved to the lower NL tier it is reporting it as being RAID6 NL. That's my guess anyway. Bit misleading.
