Hey guys -
I saw your very vibrant discussion about HP 3PAR announcing hardware based deduplication. I saw my name thrown around a few times to which Richard replied:
Funny you say that, Calvin has been a member here for some time. He is a fan of the forums and directs people with tech questions to us here. I did meet with Calvin during discover, we trekked long distances on foot through some pretty seedy areas in search of $1 beer and oyster shooters. A great time was had.
Richard - I had a great time hanging out with you at Discover. I haven't dropped in to the 3PARug for some time. I left Las Vegas after HP Discover, re-packed my luggage and left on a one month trip to Europe.
I am always happy to help get questioned answered. My knowledge can only take things so far but I have access to very deep technical contacts and am always happy to help get your questions answered. I think most of the questions asked about deduplication have been answered - at least the ones I can talk about publicly. I worked really hard to get the 3PAR product management team to start blogging and they have been now for a few months. We have a weekly article from them I decided to call 3PAR Thursday and several of the more recent ones have gone deeper into 3PAR 7450 All-Flash Array so check them out!
