Has anyone come across any issues on 2008 SQL clusters after updating ESXI hosts to persona 11 ?
Seems our cluster services will not fail over to an ESXI host with the new persona ??

Have you rebooted the host since changing the persona?
And have you tried changing the persona of the other node so they are both the same, and then fail it over?

Everything was done in accordance with HP's recommendation.
ESXI Hosts evacuated, placed in maintenance mode
ALUA and SATP changes performed on the HOST in question.
Host shutdown, Persona changes performed.
Host brought back up again.
We had 2K8R2 running 2005 SQL Clusters using RDMs and no matter what we did, even having the SQL clusters on 2 hosts with the same persona 11, they would not failover.
Eventually we've backed out all the persona related changes and got SQL clusters failing over correctly.
So, should you have SQL Clusters using RDMs on either 2K3 or 2K8R2 and are planning the persona upgrade, beware ... you may have issues ahead of you!
