Remote Copy - monitoring

Post by Josh26 »

Hey guys,

We found an RC group on a 7200 which had moved to the "Stopped" state.

There is no log we can find identifying what happened, and no one seemed to receive any alert.

Is there a way you can monitor this? I don't want to have to open the IMC up every day and check that it's running.

Attaching a script which will check the RC groups. It will also generate output files of the groups and periods. We have an enterprise scheduler and if this script fails the scheduler sends us an email.

If you look at the script you need to set the array name and then supply a password file.

Thanks. I have been doing more and more 3par and vm/3par scripting lately to make up for things that either the array can not control well on its own or that require co-ordination between our other task and the array.
