replaced disk on 7200 series but orange LED is still lit on

Post by mokins »

Can anyone please help. I have replaced a couple of disks on my 3PAR but the orange LED is still lit.

In the 3PAR GUI, every drive is showing as green and healthy, it is just when you stand in front of the system that you can see these LEDs.

CLI is also showing as all healthy:
rdg33par02 cli% showsys

These are the two disks with this issue:

Can anyone please assist or advise what we can do to clear these orange LEDs.

Many Thanks

what does «showpd -s» say?

Hi.
Thanks for replying.

rdg33par02 cli% showpd -s
Id CagePos Type -State- -Detailed_State- -SedState--
57 2:9:0 FC normal normal not_capable
58 2:10:0 FC normal normal not_capable
60 2:12:0 FC normal normal not_capable
135 4:22:0 SSD normal normal not_capable
136 1:14:0 FC normal normal not_capable
137 5:17:0 FC normal normal not_capable
(obviously, I have cut out the majority of the disks as they only two I have an issue with are ID 58 and ID 136)

Many Thanks

So the drives look fine...

Is it blinking or always lit?

Is the green LED lit?

Hi.
Thanks for your reply.
Orange LED is on solid on both disks
Green LED is also on solid on both disks.

Many Thanks

hmm, yeah.. I have no clue :)

Could be a cage issue, could be a drive carrier issue, could be a software issue. I would probably let support handle this one.
