On a 3par on which vasa was't yet set up, the showvasa command shows the ip address of the 3par in the VASA_API2_URL column.

Which is fine, but i'have seen demos where this column shows a dns hostname (fx. https://xyz.hpecorp.com:9997/vasa ).

How can I change the ip address in the VASA_API2_URL column to a hostname?

You set it in the VASA SSL certificate.
