What's New in HPE 3PAR StoreServ Management Console (SSMC) 3.5?
SSMC 3.5 introduces HPE 3PAR workload Insights that brings in application aware workload management to HPE 3PAR StoreServ Systems. Workload Insights implements this through application tagging resource in SSMC. Workload Insights help monitor, optimize and place workloads on the best fit system for an application instance. Following are additional capabilities of HPE 3PAR Workload Insights:
View Performance charts at application instance level: time-series charts of IOPS, service time and bandwidth
Two new panels in dashboard offer top application instances by throughput and latency
Top volume hotspots by IOPS and latency panels in dashboard offer information about application instance
End-to-end map view of application instance associated with volumes, system and hosts
Placement of application on best fit system based on saturation, free usable capacity and saturation forecast
Furthermore, SSMC 3.5 enhances HPE 3PAR Performance Insights to identify:
Factors contributing to system saturation by volume type
Factors on why saturation is high but performance is not impacted
Factors on why performance is impacted but saturation is intact
SSMC 3.5 includes forecasting for a storage system that displays the saturation forecast for workload in the system.

3.5 moves towards a 'virtual appliance model.
where previous versions where installed on a windows server.

But read the release notes because there is a way to suck the database from your existing installation I'm just not sure how far back that goes.
