VASA and 3PAR Mgt Plug In For VMWare

Hi All
I've been looking at VASA for vsphere 5 and VAAI. Learning a lot!
Now I know that VAAI plug in for 3PAR is no longer required if you are on Inform os 3.1.1.
For VASA - it sounds like it is a replacement for the 3PAR Management software for VMWare - giving you visibility into the 3PAR array.
So my question is, what does installing the 3PAR Management software for VMware give you that is not now included within VMware itself?
