Hey all! Long time lurker here....
I have T400 (3.1.1 MU3) that use to do remote copy years ago. We recently cleaned out the old groups and LUNs to set it up fresh but find that the "Add to configuration", "Create Remote Copy Groups" and many of the other commands are greyed out.
I am able to create groups via the CLI but would prefer to grab the volume info via the GUI.
Any reason it would be greyed out in the GUI but works in the CLI?
Thanks!
Remote Copy GUI options greyed out
Re: Remote Copy GUI options greyed out
Do you have the system you want to replicate to in the same GUI?
They both have to be in there and licensed for remote copy for the GUI to allow you to start.

Re: Remote Copy GUI options greyed out
I've hadd issues with 1 particular version of IMC, I can't remember which version it is, but try running a different version.
As the previous post said, make sure you have both 3pars open at once, and make sure you're user has access to setup remote groups. i.e. login as super user

Re: Remote Copy GUI options greyed out
Ok as a follow up this.
The issue appeared to be a 3rd 3PAR we had in the mix that I had the rcopy ports disabled because it wasn't related to this project. For some reason to get the GUI to accept input for creating groups and adding volumes they all need to up and active. Once I remove that 3rd 3par and links from the r-copy groups the icons were no longer greyed out and I could manage it from the GUI.
Keep in mind that all along I could build, add, create, and delete via CLI without issue.
PS I did try different GUI version, etc, before engaging HP support for help with this.
