The MSA is ripe for replacement as well IMO.
There is a need for a sub 7200 array, at MSA pricing.

I consider the recent updates as a mid life extension of the 7k series,
there must be plans to go for 12 gbit SAS and faster CPU. 8k seems like a good name to me.

The 7440c looks really, really good.
Why would anyone go for 10k now? (unless you need more that 1000 drives)
There must be plans for a 10k upgrade in 2015 at some point as well.
