Hi all,
I am a new member in this forum. I'm in the midst of implementing 3par v800 to my customer. However, I having problem when trying to install and configure the System Reporter 2.9 which was bundled together with the storage.
The issue happens when I want to add the InServ into the System Reporter. The operating system is Windows 2008 Enterprise and database use is MySQL.
Please help.
System Reporter 2.9
Re: System Reporter 2.9
Hi,
did you install the CLI first?
Please also check that theres no firewall blocking traffic between System reporter, database and your InServ Node.

Re: System Reporter 2.9
Hi,
Yes I did install the CLI first.
Local firewall on server also has been turned off. FYI, the System Reporter server is a virtual machine inside one of the KVM hypervisor.
I will check with the server team first to see if there any restrictions applied in between the InServ and the System Reporter.
Thanks mate.

Re: System Reporter 2.9
Virtual machine shouldn't be a problem, we also have the sysrep running under VMWare.
Do you have basic connectivity between InServ and system reporter? Check ICMP/ping an check if telnet as well as ssh is accessible from the system reporter (you can use putty for that test).
If these tests are successfull, I'd try a new clean install (there are some points mentioned in the documentation how to remove the system reporter and database completely).
Btw.: System reporter 3.1 is out for some time, you can download it at HP with your account.
