Hi,
We have an F400 and we recently added more disks and changed from cage to magazine availibility on all CPG's.
We have AO,DO and Sytem tuner lics and we have 2 CPG's with FC and SSD's with AO placing hot data in SSD's. When we run tunesys it will occasionally report that it's unable to move a chunklet as it would result in a loss of quality. I assume that would availability?
The second question revolves around the addition of disks. After the change on availibility to magazine all the VV's created prior to the change are still showing up as cage how to I tune them to change to magazine availability?
Regards
Rabie

Re: Convert VV's availability
When you changed the "cage availability" to "mag" did you also change the set size or raid type?
CPG settings dictate how new LD's are created. I am a version or two behind you, and they have made lots of changes to DO/system tuner. I dont even have the option to tunesys. I suggest you engage 3PAR support to suggest an ideal tuning plan (tune sys, tune vv, tune ld?) and to discuss the quality message you are receiving.
