Since we upgraded our existing T800 to 2.31 from 2.24 in April, and adding a second T800 to our environment, we have been heavily focused on migrating hosts to the new systems. I haven't spent as much time online here as I would like.
Prior to adopting 3PAR storage virtualization, we had 3 EMC DMX systems, 6 Dell Clariions, 2 IBM DS-4500, and 2 Netapp FAS3020.
This week marked a milestone for us, as we moved the last "open-system" (funny way of saying NOT a mainframe) off our DMXs to the 3PARs. All that remains are 3 Clariions, and to finish our Netapp migration in progress to our new vSeries filers which actually boot off the 3par.
I tip my hat to EMC, Netapp and IBM storage, your systems have served us well for the past 5 years, 3PAR has some large shoes to fill for the next 5.
Not much to say lately.
