I've installed the 3PAR management Plug-in and recovery manager for VMware, and in most respects it is working beautifully. My one remaining challenge is creating scheduled snapshots. When i run the wizard to create a new schedule, the final step fails with "UnexpectedFailure. ERROR. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x08007007B)".
I've been trying to work on this for days, but making relatively little progress. I suspect I am doing something wrong in creating the credentials file, but I can't be certain. The user manual is a little unclear on some of the guidance, and I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. For example, when do I use "domain\username" and when do I use "username"?
I really need someone to give me the idiots guide to getting a scheduled task to work. Anyone out there able to offer suggestions?

Re: Creation of scheduled task in 3PAR's VMware Recovery Man
Hello Awoodsworth,
I've never used the plug in but that error sounds a bit on the "buggy" side to me. I would call that in to support.
Wizards are suppose to be friendly and easy, not spew errors like that!
