Reclaim unused space

Hi

We have a 3PAR 7400 with two nodes and we have some doubts about reclaim unmapped space

Is there a way to know if the system has unmapped logical disk space in CPG or Volumes that can be reclaimed before make a compact in the CPG or Volumes?
What should I take care before doing a Compact CGP or Volume?
What about chunklet initialization? It occurs automatically after I compact CGP o Volume?
