Had to soft reboot SP via menu (1U SuperMicro II) after changing network settings but the SP does not "boot".
KVM stayed offline/dark, same situation with external VGA instead of KVM.
Network LED on the front is green and power is available.
I power cycled the SP by removing and attaching power again, same situation.
Both power and reset buttons on the front of the SP but no reaction, but I believe they are not wired anyway.
Any ideas?

Did you verify there is no media in CD/USB slot from a recent upgrade?

Re: 10400 SP not booting up again after soft reboot
Yes Bryan, the cdrom is empty.
Furthermore technically the SP-server is like "powered off". Pressing the eject button on the cd-drive has no effect and does not eject the cd tray.

Power Supply or Mobo might be toast. Those Supermicro servers are more like ultralights than DC3s.
