Re: Ethernet device error detected-Transmit Collision
Make sure your ethernet port settings on the switch and the storage are the same.
If you are running switched at 1G Full Duplex at both ends, you shouldn't get any collisions.

Re: Ethernet device error detected-Transmit Collision
Naren,
I would check with DC ops to reseat the cable on both the side ( Array and ethernet ) switch side.
Also make sense to check with the Networking team to ensure that there are no problems on that particular port of the switch.
With the version 3.1.2 inform os, HP added an functionality to reset the ethernet port if there is no activity. Hope u are not hit with this new feature.
Do you have any remote copy configured on these NICs or it is just an admin port ?
Regards
Hari

Re: Ethernet device error detected-Transmit Collision
We had a similiar problem that's caused by using a CAT7 cable. After switching back to CAT6 the problem was fixed and 7400 nodes were showing Full duplex with no collisions.
