On a new 4-node 7400, some initial testing was being done and as part of testing resilience of a node failure a test was designed that executed:
shutdownnode halt 0
from the CLI. Note that reboot was not executed.
The assumption was that shutdownnode reboot 0 could be executed afterwards to bring the node back up but that doesn't work as inform just reports that the node is offline.
Before we call HP, it seems a simple task to just bring a node back up. Is there an easy way to do this? Do we need to do a node rescue?
thanks
Bring node back online after halt
Re: Bring node back online after halt
Answered my own question:
startnoderescue -node 0
startnoderescue -node 0
Re: Bring node back online after halt
or the dirty way. Pull the node out and put in again in the controllershelf.
