Per-drive soft licenses

Post by Patrick »

Originally when purchased our 7200 a number of features (AO/DO/ect) were licensed on an LTU, per head, and support cost. The only one which was variable (outside of volume discounts) was the per head fee which had a hard cap. Originally the per-drive licensing across all features was capped at 48 drives. With later code releases the max drive count on the array has almost doubled. Does anyone know if the per-drive costs are still capped at 48 or are they higher now?

Aren't the drive caps between a 7200 and 7400 double? Are you sure the numbers they gave you are the current caps for a 7200 and not a 7400 by accident?

The drive caps have doubled on both, but have the per-drive licensing caps also doubled?
