On one of our Test-Arrays, the SP "Update InformOS"-function was stuck on the "results of last update"-page. Removing and re-adding the nodes resolved this issue.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

I can't see any other reason to do it.

I have recently performed an upgrade with the assistance of HP and have noted all the pre/post upgrade tasks plus the steps I saw HP take in my blog http://3pardude.com/.

I have documented the process in detail across 3 posts plus created a summary upgrade checklist which others may find useful.
