3par management console can not connect 3par v7400.

I cannot connect my storage via 3par imc.After that i connect with 3par cli.i run showcpg,showhardware inventory command.both command is hang.it does not response.my virtua volume work normaly.my server still see lun.pls help me.what is problem.my storage is 3par 7400

If you have access to the network IP switches the management ports for the nodes are plugged into you could see which one currently shows the MAC and disable that port. Then try again to connect when it comes up on another switch, could be a network issue on or between the IP switch and the mgt port on the particular node.

Thanks your reply but This issue not from network.i connect cable direct from my laptop to mgt port.3par cli can connect but some command work ex:showcim,showalert,show eventlog.some command relate to state of 3par example :checkhealth,showbattery not work ....it not response the result

Did you ever get a resolution to this?

I am having the same issue with 1 of my 4-Node 7400's, just started yesterday. I have a call logged with HP so hopefully they have a resolution that wont involve a complete shutdown.

I have found that via CLI most commands work some however dont, ie shownode checkhealth commands all hang, but showtask, showvv etc are all ok. Also my Scheduled AO tasks fail.

It can happen that 3PAR sysmanager comes down on master node...
You don't have to restart the whole array only faulted sysmanager node.

You better call HP support and prepare your InSplor ^^

I recently got the case where SR and non secured IMC could not connect to an array. I found that our guys disabled non secured ports... Then you must connect on maintenance port with console login and enable non secured ports.
