How can I create a role on the 3Par (3.1.2 MU3) and assign it the rights I choose? We will soon be deploying 3Par Recovery Manager for VMware for use in a backup strategy. I would like to limit RMV to snapshots only, with no ability to provision new LUNs.

RMV requires specific permissions, which I believe is edit permissions. The 3par does not do a good role based permissions model where you can get very granular. Your choices are very limited.

In the IMC it gives you the choice if you want the snap t be RO or R/W
