CPG with SSD - to little capacity

Post by ascheale »

Hi,

I have a CPG with 8 SSD each 200GB.
Each cage is filled with 2 SSDs.

CPG is 3+1 HA mode.

My problem is, that the overall capacity is about 400GB.

What i see is, that 5 disks are assigned on PORT A as preferred path and only 3 disks are assigned in PORT B.

I am unable to switch the preferred path with servicemag command.

Please help

Hello Alex,

Check how much "spare" space they consumed when they installed your SSD. I do protest vehemently the practice of forcing SSD spare space when you have perfectly good FC available for spares, especially in instances where very few SSD drives are installed.

The used 4 spindles worth of SSD for spares on my system, and I continue to protest. This reminds me to open a new case on this subject to protest some more.
