Odd VVol issue

FYI, you cannot change the CPG ID once the CPG has been created, as it is assigned automatically by the 3PAR for internal management.

prefixed our existing two AO CPG's with vvol_ to catch any shenannigans from VMWare not applying Storage policy under certain situations

Did this end working out ok? In the same boat and was thinking the only solution seemed to be appending the AO CPG's with vvol_ and found this thread.
