Cisco DCNM and 3PAR CIM/SMI-S ?

Hi there,

Is anyone discovering their 3PAR in Cisco DCNM via SMI-S ?

I'm struggling to find any docs about it, get the following error when I try with the defaults in DCNM :

add SMIS provider failed: Failed to add SMIS provider Add Provider Failed : Invalid Namespace: Please check the provider configuration

Sorry I can't help, but of interest what do you get by adding a 3par to DCNM?

as I have both? just not working together

I was hoping DCNM would just pull more info out of the array, I like end to end views of things

I did arrange to connect DCNM with 3PAR. Disapointing results. It isbetter to use SSMC and Infosight to have end to end like view. Connecting DCNM and 3PAR to VmWare thats great. At the end of this year we will deploy Cisco San Insights on DCNM .... then real end to end view will be in place . For sure when one wants to know if high reponsetimes are server or storage initiated
