3PAR can flash 3Pxx firmware by issuing upgradepd -a , upgradepd -w <WWN> or admithw commands.
Drives have to be formatted to 520 bytes by issuing controlpd format [-fast] 520 <WWN>
<WWN> can be found by showpd -i command
-fast option is used for SSD drives.
Format progress can be checked by showpd -fmt
