Hi folks,
I'm wondering if v1.8 (latest I believe) of the 3par info tool is compatible with Oracle Linux 8?
The tool was installed using the script provided but we cannot read the disks using the tool -
/bin/HP3PARInfo -v
Linux HP3PARInfo Version 1.8 Apr 4 2019
â–’ Copyright 2012-2018 Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Development Company, L.P.
/bin/HP3PARInfo -i
There are no devices exposed to this host!!
We can see the disks however using multipath -ll etc and via other means on the OS. It works fine with Oracle Linux 7. The disk/personas match both OS's.
Any ideas? Many thanks in advance.

Re: HP3PARInfo & OEL8 compatible?
Your testing results, and suspicion about supportability, are confirmed in the support martix. Unfortunately, OEL8 is not supported in v 1.8 of LUNInfo.
I recommend contacting your sales team to communicate this need so that resources may be prioritized accordingly.
For anyone curious how to check this matrix yourselves:
HPE SPOCK is the website for checking HPE storage compatibility.

To find the document, login to spock with your free HPE Passport account. Find the "Software" section on the left pane. Choose "Array SW: Primera" or "Array SW: 3PAR" and the large pane on the right will update with a list of all software related support matrices.

Hope this helps!
