I have a cage in degraded state. It is something to do with the interface card. Is this an hardware failure? How do I replace this?

Error is Interface card 0 failed. (Interface Card firmware Unknown {0x0} )

All the disks in the cage are normal. Please see the attachments.

Thank you.

seems like firmware mismatch.

MammaGut - How do I fix this? Will this fix itself if I reboot the cage?

upgradecage cage2 might help. It all depends on how far back you are on your software. 320e which is the firmware the cage lists now on the degraded module is in best case quite old. Even the "updated" firmware on the normal io module is old (most likely 3.1.x)....

Thanks MammaGut. We don't have any support and need this system until end of Jan next year. I think the cage power went down once during the same time the alarm came. I did not noticed this until now. My guess is it had the same version like others but somehow reverted to earlier version? Is it possible this could happen?

If I do upgradecage now will this copy the latest firmware available on system files or will it try to download from the HP site whatever the latest is?

Upgradecage will try and push the version bundled with the 3PAR OS version installed.
