hi everyone, I'm a newbie in 3Par SAN storage. If someone can help me on this, it would be wonderful
I have 3Par storage with only 2 tiers: SSD & Nearline. On SSD, we have about 3TB of raw space left. If I tune 1 of the volume to SSD to help out with IOPS, will the tune fail? or the tune will only move data up to certain threshold & stop?

If you have enough space it will tune, if you don't it won't.
Keep in mind that if you run out of SSD space, the 3PAR will use NL capacity as SSDto keep you afloat, but there will be a significant cleanup to fix it afterwards.
