Hey guys - we deployed a VMWare template with about 2 TB worth of VMDK's several times. Unfortunately, data had been written to the template's VMDK's and then later deleted so even though the VMDK's show 100% free space in the Windows guest OS, the 3PAR array sees it as written data since we didn't zero it out before deployment.
I am now running cleaning utilities from within the deployed guest OS's but it's taking some time to see reclamation results. I cleaned 2 TB worth of volumes but in the past hour I've only seen 500 GB reclaimed.
To get to the point, my question is how long does it take for a V400 to reclaim space in this situation? Is it normal for it to take hours?

Never mind, I see that it did reclaim the space but that it just took a while.
New question though: All the reclaimed space (2 TB worth) is showing up as "Spare" under "Allocated." Is there a way to move it back to "Free" space?

You need to rightclick the CPG of that Volume and compact the CPG.

Running now, thanks!
