Hello All, I need to setup my storage to send email alerts when set thresholds are reached.

precisely, i need to know if i can set this up for

1. VV utilisation
2. Whole storage space utilisation

I have an Inserve V400 running OS 3.1.2 with only FC disks.

Thanks

1. I am assuming you're referring to thin VV; you need to enable "Allocation Warning" under desired VV.
2. By default there are set up warnings for each disk class at 50%, 75%, 85%, 95% allocation of available capacity

You need to configure SP to email these alerts.

For the whole system, you need only enable email alerts on the sp. The whole system thresholds.should be set by default

Additionally, you can set RAW space alert for each disk class. In IMC select array and do "Edit system"

I believe you edit defaults via Predefining Symptoms (page 30 in HP 3PAR Service Processor Software User Guide) but better confirm with HP Support.

fully provisioned volume (thick) will be always 100% provisioned :) You need to monitor it inside the connected host.
