Hello what is the simplest way to add 8 shelfs to a 7400 / 4 Node with 6 Shelfs. I think shutdown the Storage, add the Shelfs to the storage (guide=> 3PAR cabling guide). start the storage, admithw, tunesys. Thanks regards |

dont forget to add the new hdd to your cpq's if the new disk are the same type. |

You can do it without stopping the array. Don't forget cages are connected to nodes with two loops. (6+8) / 2 = 7 cages per nodes cluster. So you are planning to have CPGs with ha cage and raid 5 6+1 ? Right now you got ha cage with raid 5 2+1 CPGs ? |
