IMC4.5.1 will not run after intall

hi,
I have just tried to upgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.5.1 IMC and the result is that I get the splash screen for under a second and nothing else happens.

has anyone experienced this, or got any tips for how I troubleshoot?

there are no errors in the install log
there are no errors in the event viewer

your help will be really appreciated.

Did you uninstall the old version first? There are some issues occasionally if the old version is not uninstalled or leaves some files behind. IMC is by far a huge weakness in this product

I've seen similar issues that were linked to java, logging off and back on solves the immediate problem but I had to update java for a permanent fix.

We were having some issues with 4.5.1 not refreshing after a while and various Java errors. We have upgraded to 4.6 and so far so good, it seems to be stable.

Also have problems with 4.5.1 > refresh and sometimes the target 3PAR greyed out.

Where did you download version 4.6 ? I didn't see this version on the software updates & licensing site.

We are having "refresh" errors. Would be interested to know where latest version is at as well. Thanks.

I shouldn't have got so excited about 4.6.0. Although it seems to refresh better, we have come across a few issues with it freezing when making changes to a CPG. More that one of our storage admins have had to shut down and restart the interface.
We are logging a call with HP support and not letting them close it until we have a resolution.

IMO the IMC has been trash after 4.2 / 4.3 time frame. Once they started adding in the reporting into the IMC it has been falling apart all over, Java crashes, laggy and slow performance. Also the larger your array the more issues it has. We ar egiving up after working a support case for over 6 months with them.
