Hi,

Would like to know what our fearless 3PAR admins are using to capture the utilisation trend for hosts or group of hosts.

I would say system reporter is your best bet.

Choose a VV Space Usage report and then filter on the hosts or VV's you are interested in. The graph you will probably be most interested in will be VV Used Space - which will tell you if you are thin provisioning how the volume has grown over time.

I would also run a report PD Space report, as this will give you a good overview of the capacity trends on the system as a whole and will account for space taken up by RAID , system overhead etc.

System reporter here as well. I keep 3 years worth of dailies for fun long term capacity stats.
