Hi,

Does anyone know if the SP 'phone home' feature can be set to email internally - say to me rather than HP?

Looking at doing this on an expired array.

Thanks

The "phone home" feature feeds into a proprietary system - but you can easily configure alerts via email to yourself. In fact I highly recommend configuring such alert as opposed to waiting on HP to contact you in case of an issue.

Look at section 6.3 of the service processor guide (sorry about the URL...):

What version is your SP, perhaps this is a bug? What do the logs show when you 'test mailhost'?

If still under support, may be worth asking HP for fix?

3.1.2 (MU1) on a V400 array.
SP-4.1.0.GA-78 for the SP version.

Maybe I am missing something in the setup? I log into the SP, go to Setup, then configure mailhost...

I have our SMTP IP address in the first, domainname.com in for mail host, then in from id override is my name.name (from the first part of email address) and then in additional send-to I have my full email address?

When I do a test it works fine and emails me the test and all appears well.... is there something or somewhere else I need to configure? I get daily an email saying root@domainname.com mailbox is full, yadda yadda, etc, etc...
