I setup a VV on a RAID1 CPG and set the virtual copy to be on a RAID6 NL CPG however when I look at the settings for the VV the provisioning shows the correct RAID6 CPG but the allocation is all coming from RADI1 on my FC disks. How/why is this happening?

What do the settings on your NL_r6_virtualcopy CPG look like? |

Roger that, do you have any snaps yet that would use the Raid6 space? Thanks for helping me out with this. Yes I have snapshots for this VV being created. I noticed it on a CSV1 but I thought that was because I had originally set the snapshot CPG on the VV to be a RAID1 volume and then moved it to a RAID6 one so I thought it was an issue with the base snapshot being on RAID1 and not being able to be moved. But CSV3 I setup with the virtual copy CPG being the RAID6 right from the start but the VVs are still being created on RAID1 as pictured but I don't know how or why. Here's the output from that command:

OK, that seems a bit weird though. Here's a different VV showing what I would expect:  But I think you are right, because in this view I can see the virtualcopy space is being taken from the RAID6 CPG so guess it's just a bug:

What version of the IMC are you using? |

Are you using AO ? If so its possible it moved some hot Snap regions into the FC space. If your Snap space is part of AO then that is where I believe the confusion is. |

I'm using IMC Version 4.3.0.71. Maybe I should upgrade it. Haven't enabled AO yet. Not sure I want to while I have lots of FC disk available. |
