Hope anyone out there can help as we are currently drawing a blank with the vendor support teams

We have an SQL 2 node cluster that has a requirement to have Netapp and 3PAR storage exported to it

The SQL server is Windows 2008 Enterprise SP2 64Bit. We are using Windows inbuilt MPIO for both the 3PAR and Netapp

When the node installs the 3PAR device hardware ID support, the server is rebooted and all Netapp LUN's disappear, 3PAR LUN remains

Has anyone come across any interoperability issues between Netapp and 3PAR when using Windows inbuilt MPIO?

Netapp requires ALUA be enabled through the use of an IGroup, do you have ALUA set ? Assuming you are using FC.

Thanks for the reply

We have used with and without but doesn't seem to make any difference unfortunately

Did you ever get past this?

Can you screenshot the MPIO device hardware support screen and the "disks" tree under device manager?

Sorry to not get back sooner, I've managed to solve the problem

It would appear the 3PAR MPIO was a red herring as when this was completed removed, it turned out I still had the issue with the Netapp LUN's

In the end, I installed a lower HBA driver version and it all happily works

Thanks for the replies!
