HPE Storage Users Group

I have 2x 7400 and we recently had a disk fail...no biggy.

But it took some time to fail....As there is a task that runs in the 7400's called slow disk check....each time it ran we would get alerts...saying slow and in a degraded state.

After about 15 hours the disk changed to a failed state and we swapped out.

can some one explain what the slow disk check task is ?

what it does and how ?

Would be very interested to know this.
