Hi,

Can you please help us with an issue related with 3PAR V800 storage system ?
This is the issue:
We want to rebalance the space allocation over entire V800 system, after an upgrade of FC physical disks. Recently, we bought additional FC disks.
But, when we run tunesys command, we have a problem with Adaptive Optimization. We can't rebalance space from CPGs witch are involved in Adaptive Optimization.
Is there any workaround on this issue ? Why is this limitation ?

Bogdan

Hi,

A.O prefers to have a symmetric system across node pairs
That is, if you have a nodepair which has SSD, SAS and NL disks, the other nodepairs
would preferrably have the same config

This is a guess for me, my systems are older versions than yours and they made big changes to AO between the versions, and tunesys is new... but can you disable AO first then run tunesys?
