Hi, 3parguru team, please, help me, we wipe our test old 7200 system (with out support contract) and it has next output in cli:
# showsys -space
...
Spare : 0
Used : 0
Unused : 0
...
why spare is =0. And how fix it? tunesys?

Based on the rest of the output, you don't have any drives

Right.

That looks better.

Do "showsys -param" and verify that SparingAlgorithm isn't set to custom. If is it set to anything else it should be fixed by "admithw".

If you set it to custom you manually need to create the spare chunklets with createspare command.

spare parametr is set minimal. We can change it to default if need.
Can you explain how much need create spare chunklets?
10-20 on every magazine?
createspare <every magazine>:xx , where xx=?

Default and minimum is often the same unless you have a very low number of disk of any type.

Since sparing is set to minimum, just run admithw in CLI and it should fix it.
