Hey Storage admins,
I have a 7200 and have connected to MFG port using the serial settings i found on this forum (many thanks)
Good news i see it boot and it is running version 3.1.1.2.

The issue is that i can not input any key strokes , so i can not enter the username.

Has any one got an idea of what it may be? I have tried a different USB/serial converter and cable to MFG port.

PS i bougth this at an auction and dont know the logon details

Hi.

I'm hoping it is running 3.1.2 because 3.1.2 was the first version for the 7k.

Did you get a serial cable with the system or are you using something you got? The 3PAR has a non-standard pin-out on the serial cable. Seehttps://www.3parug.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=330&start=20

Thanks for the reply , i will create a serial to rj45 with that pin out as i was just using a Cisco console cable. I double checked and the exact OS version output stated on the console is.
3par (r) Inform (tm) OS 3.1.3.230 1637224-0 TTYS0

Cheers
