HP don't support end users connecting to the console, so they aren't going to document the process. |

From the PDF titled "3PAR InServ T-Series Storage Server Installation and Deinstallation Guide" Appendix page C.7 57600 baud 8 bits No Parity 1 stop bit Xon/Xoff The gray adapter + standard cat5 cable should do the trick. The 7200 book does not include instructions for using the seriel port. http://h20628.www2.hp.com/km-ext/kmcsdi ... 6625-8.pdf |

I am setting one up as we speak, had the same issue,. it isnt documented but disable XON/XOFF, baud rate 57600 also make sure you use the grey plug PN; 180-0055-01 and use a standard ethernet cat5 cable. I had to butcher the plug to fit my laptop also see attached screenshot of my settings; hope that helps! Chris F

I have corrected my post - at that time we did the first 7000 in the US so I really don't know where I got 9600 from, I obviously was able to access it. -Justin www.3cVguy.com |

As Leif said, you must use the grey adapter and the blue cable. Not any cat5 cable or the red one. |
