Hi, as the whole world (including HPE with SSMC) switches to an appliance delivery model, quorum switches from appliance back to rpm. Awesome.

Release Notes and Installation guide insist on CentOs. Unfortunately, this is not an option here in our company. Did anybody try installing the quorum witness software on a red hat box? And does anybody have an idea 'bout support if something (a failover with a certain amount of fallout) happens when running it on Red Hat instead CentOS?

Both avaialable guides don't contain any info (if I got it right...) if the new quorum has the same characteristics as the old one - 16 nodes as a maximum per quorum (which means two pairs of four node systems)? Or could a beefier VM handle more nodes?

I just keep deploying the old appliance. CentOS is no-good in most scenarios I get into. I would expect any issues on Redhat to get the "unsupported" comment thrown back in my face.

CentOS in simply words Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) compiled by other people from freely available sources Red Hat so i don't see any reasons to have problems with using CentOS as replacement of RHEL. Long time used CentOS as OS for SSMC and i regret changin it for appliance.
