We self-upgraded from 3.2.2 MU6 to 3.3.1 MU2+all recommended patches on a pair of 7200's and a 7400 with no issues.

Trying to schedule with HPE on the upgrade was ok, then no it's a 7000, then yes we need it for x, then no, then yes, when's the soonest?...8 weeks...then the date shifted twice. Then they were informed to cancel it as the arrays were upgraded.

Self-upgrade is possible, you need normal account plus the spvar/hpepartner login to get passed some of the rev blocks. SP communication also switches from SDA to RDA during this process.

If for some reason, you like the old java client with encryption enabled...it uses TLS1.0 and there's a small security patch which disables TLS 1.0/1.1 for communication (but unencrypted is ok...the logic).
