Hello everyone

Do you have any news regarding 7400 and 3.3.1? I still have not upgraded.

I know some a few people running it on 7200/7400's. No issues.
I would have thought 3.3.1 MU3 would have gone GA by now.
HPE spoke to me back in October about it and things have gone very quite over there.

I've reach out to our account management team and I can't get any info on future releases.
In the past they have shared NDA slide decks around upcoming features.

I would like to know if 25GbE ethernet is going to come to the 8000 series.
We are trying to decide oh a 8GB san switches refresh and buying 16GB or 32GB FC switches for a 8 host environment doesn't seem to make sense.

They have started releasing updates for 3.3.1MU3 now so I suspect it'll become more GA at some point, maybe an EMU release with the current patches included.

32Gb FC had been rumbled about with the NVMe card for a long while and they've only just appeared with the pre-release MU4 code. I've not heard anything yet about 25GbE however there should be a new gen array at some point I think (8k, 20k been around a while) so I expect some new stuff then but probably another major code version to be weary of.

I don't know about the 7k support, I know we had to push support a bit to get 3.3.1MU3 on some 8ks recently as their preferred level was still MU2 for those.

Hello!
HP 3Par 7200, 3.3.1.215 (GA)+P01,P02,P04,P06,P20,P33
I don't have access HPE portal
We have a problem with update 3.3.1 MU2.

OS package 3PAR_INFORM_OS_RELEASE_3.3.1_MU2_SW_QR482-11331 loading failed. Cause : Loading package onto the StoreServ failed. Required space: 6944.2MB, Available space, by node: 0: 6277.6MB, 1: 6388.2MB Storage freespace check Failed on node 0.

How I can delete updates, however 3.3.1 MU1 - downloaded and staged, but do not install.

3.3.1.GA+P01+P02+P04+P05+P06,P20,P33 to 3.3.1.MU1 is not a supported online upgrade. A valid path could not be automatically determined.

Can anyone have ideas? Please help.
Thank you for your answer and your time.

Code:
upgradesys -liststaged -full

Code:
upradesys -unstage <package>

While speaking on the topic has anyone ever installed patches on the 3PAR without the use of the service processor? staging matches manually etc..?
I have seen HPE support staged all the patches and then install the patches via the CLI.
On a rebuilt 3.2.2 system they installed 30+ patches via
Code:
upgradesys -doupdate OS-3.2.2.290-P35

The command changed slightly in 3.3.1 to:
Code:
upgradesys -auto OS-3.3.1.410-P40

but i was never sure how they staged all the patches there in the first place.

Hi Adam!
Thank you for your answer.

All patches have been installed with 3Par Service Processor v5.04.

I logged ssh on 3Par without storage processor and unstagged all patches.

With service processor I download and stage 3.3.1_MU2_SW_QR482-11331 sucessfully.
But I have a problem

I only need to install online, offline unfortunately there is no way to install it

Thank you for your time and your help.
