What we have:
2 x 3Par 7200c with OS 3.2.1 (MU5)
VV's in this rcopy group (path management and auto recovery policy enabled) exported for 2 windows servers 2016 (persona 15) with latest updates and 1 FC port. Servers configured as windows cluster with file server role.

What i can see:
MPIO path - Round Robin with subset
8 paths for first server with Active/optimized and 8 standby for second server.
But as I understand should be 4 active and 4 standby.

In our case - after rcopy switchover - VV is unavailable for server1.

What can i check?

If you are using Peer Persistence and have the Peer Persistence license, you should see active paths from the source array and passive paths from the source array on both servers. With 1 FC port, I would expect 2 paths, so 2 passive and 2 active but you may have zoned differently.

Keep in mind that you would also need to set the "Path Verify" option in the MS MPIO settings for this. Without Path Verify, the usual outcome is unavailable VV as the server isn't checking which status the paths have and expect them to be in the same state as before the switchover.

PP licensed and started.
"Path Verify" - ok.
But all path standby or active.

3Par-1: 4 host ports.
3Par-2: 4 host ports.
Total 8 paths.

Zones:
Zone1 - first server + 8 host ports
Zone2 - second server + 8 host ports

Silly question: Are both hosts created as own distinct hosts on both 3PARs, or did you just create one host with WWNs from both servers??

It looks like PP is treating your hosts as only one host.

Hosts was created separately - with different WWN's.
The system worked, but after installing the P58 to support 1.92 SSD something broke.
It seems we have to install 3.2.2 immediately.

Just to be sure: Both hosts see the primary vv (working now) and the secondary vv (working after atf) - right?
