Hi All, I need to get some information about compactcpg. I am planning to run compactcpg command on my InServ to trim down ld space on my array. When I run compactcpg command is there a way to cancel compactcpg? If there is, what is the impact of that I mean cancelling compactcpg operation? and Is there a way to rollback operation what compact cpg does? Thanks Rama |

You can look at Compact CPG as the same as Windows Defragment. Only thing it does is move allocated space so that you can free up the unused space in a CPG. If you cancel it then you can just start it again and it will continue to do the data move and free up space in the end. ( Haven't tested it myself but I could do a test if wanted ) But I always prefer to not cancel any task unless you absolutely have to. |
