Post subject:  Cancelling compactcpg operation

Hi All,

I need to get some information about compactcpg. I am planning to run compactcpg command on my InServ to trim down ld space on my array. When I run compactcpg command is there a way to cancel compactcpg? If there is, what is the impact of that I mean cancelling compactcpg operation? and Is there a way to rollback operation what compact cpg does?

Thanks
Rama

You can look at Compact CPG as the same as Windows Defragment.
Only thing it does is move allocated space so that you can free up the unused space in a CPG.
If you cancel it then you can just start it again and it will continue to do the data move and free up space in the end. ( Haven't tested it myself but I could do a test if wanted )
But I always prefer to not cancel any task unless you absolutely have to.
