Hello all, I'm brand new to 3PAR, and have been scripting a process to create, resync and promote physical copies (for QA, DEV, etc testing). I'm using the Web API (1.3.1) and PERL. I have almost arrived at my solution, but I am unable to find anything in the API developers guide regarding promoting Physical Copies. The option to promote a physical copy is there in the GUI, and works fine. I can also achieve the same result in the GUI by resyncing a physical copy, and not selecting "save snapshot for later resync", which seems to have the net effect of promoting the physical copy to a base volume after the resync. Trouble is, in the API there is not a way of selecting saveSnapshot as "false" in the physical resync API "method". Has anyone achieved "promote physical" via the web API? Have I missed something obvious? Many thanks in advance, Geoff |
