Hi Mammagut,

Sorry for the stupid question ... :roll:

We tried restarting the Storeserve service, but it did not help.

And server reboot requires lot of approval so did not go for that option too.

Finally we added it manually. But I just wanted to know why all went off ...!!

Nope..

No we have not done any changes to the 3PAR arrays....!!

Also as Richard said you can give a dry run for compact CPG.

Command : compactcpg -dr <CPG_NAME>

This will show how much space will be released to free pool once compact CPG is completed.

You can create a script using plink connection. I have developed a similar codes/scripts for health check, capacity report etc etc.
